DAIMLERCHRYSLER HYDROGEN FUEL-CELL VEHICLES ENTER SERVICE AT LOS ANGELES AIRPORT

LOS ANGELES AIRPORT TO EXPAND FLYAWAY BUS SYSTEM TO UNION STATION TO INCREASE CONVENIENCE, EASE TRAFFIC CONGESTION
(Los Angeles, California -- January 23, 2006) The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today approved a three-year-agreement with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) to establish direct-to-airport bus service from Union Station in downtown Los Angeles to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The action permits Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) to start airport bus service in mid-March and is part of LAWA’s ground transportation initiatives to expand its FlyAway bus system in order to improve passenger convenience and reduce traffic congestion.

LOS ANGELES AIRPORT ROSE GARDEN NAMED TO HONOR 50 YEARS OF SERVICE BY AIRPORT HISTORIAN ETHEL LUND PATTISON
(Los Angeles, California – January 23, 2006) In recognition of 50 years of service to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and the City of Los Angeles, the Board of Airport Commissioners today approved the naming of a rose garden adjacent to the Clifton A. Moore Administration Building at LAX after airport tour guide and historian Ethel Lund Pattison, who celebrates 50 years of service at LAX. Pattison has the most years of service of any active employee at LAWA.

LOS ANGELES CITY COUNCIL GIVES FINAL APPROVAL TO SETTLEMENT OF LAX MASTER PLAN LAWSUITS

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 12/20/2005 -- The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today awarded a $241,770,114 contract to a joint venture of Tutor-Saliba, Sylmar, Calif., and O&G Industries, Torrington, Conn., to construct the South Airfield Improvement Project at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in order to improve airfield safety. This action is contingent on final approvals of the project-level tiered final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) and LAX Plan Compliance.

AIRPORT BOARD CERTIFIES RUNWAY PROJECT EIR; ASKS CITY COUNCIL TO OK PROJECT FOR SAFETY BENEFITS

(Los Angeles, California –December 5, 2005) The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners certified the Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) and adopted other related documents for the Southside Airfield Improvement Project (SAIP) at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The Board’s action further recommends that the Los Angeles City Council approve the project, which would include moving LAX’s southernmost runway approximately 55 feet south to improve safety by providing for a new center taxiway.
