LAX Terminal Maps
Terminal 1
A $477.5 million extension of Terminal 1 into a formerly open area includes the first Terminal Vertical Core, which will connect the building to a pedestrian walkway to the future CTA Center Automated People Mover Station. The new construction also includes a bus port, and additional ticket counters and baggage carousels, plus restrooms and a service-animal relief area.

Gates 20-28 are now part of Delta’s new Terminal 3 complex, and can be accessed from Terminal 3. WestJet customers can continue to check-in at Terminal 2 and access their gates from Terminal 3.

The first three gates in the new Terminal 3 are now open, with more gates and concessions coming soon!
Delta and Aeromexico check-in and departures are from Terminal 3. WestJet departures are from Terminal 3.
Terminal 4
The $1.6 billion modernization of Terminals 4 and 5 will include a unified departure hall and a new south concourse in Terminal 4 with additional space for hold rooms, concessions, restrooms and a bus gate that will serve both domestic and international traffic. Improvements will be made to the north concourse and Terminal 5.

Terminal 5 is the new home for JetBlue and Spirit, as well some American Airlines flights and the bus to the American Eagle terminal. A recently completed $229 million modernization included 19 great dining and shopping options, an expanded ticketing lobby, more security screening checkpoints, and new baggage carousels.

Terminal 6 will be refreshed as part of a $230 million modernization project that began in early 2021, creating more space for passengers and bringing upgraded technology to the building following two projects that were completed in the 2010s to renovate the ticketing lobby, bag claim and concourse areas.

A $546 million renovation project was completed in early 2019, including an expanded ticketing lobby, improved security screening checkpoints, enhanced seating with more charging stations and a new luxe United Club Terminal 7 Lounge. Work is now underway to connect the terminal to the future Automated People Mover.

The Tom Bradley International Terminal welcomes millions of visitors from around the world each year. In 2013, a $1.9 billion modernization was unveiled, creating a world-class experience for all those who pass through it. In May 2021, the beautiful new $1.73 billion West Gates (Gates 201-225) opened, equipped with the newest technology and innovations.

Entry to LAX is only allowed for airline passengers and persons meeting, accompanying or assisting them, and airport personnel whose employment requires their presence. LAX is closed to the general public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Opening hours for passengers and personnel vary between terminals; persons are advised to check with their airline or employer.
