LOS ANGELES WORLD AIRPORTS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR RETIRING
Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) Executive Director Gina Marie Lindsey today announced that after a 39-year career, 33 working in the aviation industry, she will retire. Telling staff “it is time for me to move on to other adventures,” Lindsey discussed her retirement with Mayor Eric Garcetti and Board of Airport Commissioners President Sean Burton and says she will stay on into the spring to ensure a smooth transition to new leadership.

FEBRUARY CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS MAY CAUSE PASSENGER IMPACTS
(Los Angeles, California – February 3, 2015) Ongoing construction at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will continue to impact travelers in February with sidewalk and vehicle lane closures and in-terminal work. Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) announced that the three primary investment ratings services -- Fitch Ratings, Moody’s Investors Service, and Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services (S&P) -- all assigned high marks for LAWA’s upcoming issuance of approximately $338 million in long-term revenue bonds on behalf of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to help fund the airport’s on-going capital improvement projects.

LOS ANGELES WORLD AIRPORTS REPORTS APPROVAL OF FUNDING FOR SOUND-INSULATION PROJECTS IN INGLEWOOD UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT

LAX POSTS RECORD LEVEL FOR 2014 TOTAL PASSENGERS – UP 6 PERCENT; RECORDS ALSO SET FOR BOTH DOMESTIC, INTERNATIONAL TRAVELERS
Airport officials today announced record-setting numbers of both domestic and international passengers at LAX in 2014, resulting in a new record for total passenger volume. Year-end statistics show LAX airlines served 70,662,212 total passengers in 2014 -- six percent above the 66,665,726 passengers in 2013. The previous record was 67,303,182 total passengers in 2000.

LA/ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT 2014 PASSENGER VOLUME UP 3.93%
(Ontario, California – January 27, 2015 ) Passenger numbers at LA/OntarioInternational Airport (ONT) rose nearly 4% in 2014. ONT airlines served 4,127,278 travelers compared to 3,971,136 in 2013. International traffic rose nearly 58% with International carriers, AeroMexico and Volaris, serving 90,731 passengers compared to 57,473 passengers in 2013.

LOS ANGELES WORLD AIRPORTS APPROVES ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR INGLEWOOD RESIDENTIAL SOUND INSULATION PROGRAM

LAX RUNWAY SAFETY AREA CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AWARDED
(Los Angeles, CA – January 15, 2015) Los Angeles Board of Commissioners today approved a $25,245,000 contract to Griffith/Coffman Joint Venture for the Runway 6L-24R Safety Area Rehabilitation Project at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), signaling the start of a three-year runway construction project at LAX.

20-YEAR LEASE APPROVED FOR PROUD BIRD RESTAURANT PROPERTY AT LAX
The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today approved a 20-year lease with Runway Two-Five Corporation (RTFC) for restaurant, banquet and meeting facilities at 11022 Aviation Boulevard. RTFC currently leases the property operating as The Proud Bird Restaurant.

Somewhere in Between: Los Angeles, a solo video exhibition by Bia Gayotto is on view for the public in Terminal 3, Ticketing Level, through April 2015
