TWO-WEEK NIGHTLY CLOSURE ON CENTURY BOULEVARD (NOV. 10-NOV. 21) WILL MARK BEGINNING OF CONSTRUCTION OF AVIATION/CENTURY LIGHT RAIL AERIAL STATION
Construction of the foundation for the Aviation/Century light rail aerial station that will serve the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project will begin Monday night, Nov. 10. Over the next two weeks until Nov. 21, construction will necessitate closure of the westbound lanes on Century Boulevard between Aviation Boulevard and Bellanca Avenue near LAX nightly Monday to Friday.

REVISED LA/ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT YEAR-TO-DATE PASSENGER VOLUME
(Ontario, California – November 3 , 2014) Passenger numbers at LA/Ontario International Airport (ONT) rose 3.74 percent from January 2014 through September 2014, compared to the same period last year. ONT airlines served 3,062.268 travelers compared to 2,951.876 travelers during the same period in 2013. Passenger numbers were up 8.39% for the month of September, the largest increase this year.

(Ontario, California – October 31 , 2014) The number of passengers was up at LA/Ontario International Airport (ONT) in September, an increase of 3.74 compared to the same month last year. From January 2014 through September 2014 ONT airlines have served 3,062.268 travelers compared to 2,951.876 travelers during the same period in 2013.

LAX MODERNIZATION UPDATE: NOVEMBER CONSTRUTION PROJECTS MAY CAUSE PASSENGER IMPACTS
(Los Angeles, California – October 31, 2014) Ongoing construction at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is expected to continue to impact travelers during the month of November as sidewalk closures, roadway lane closures, and in-terminal construction may slow passenger flow. These construction efforts, part of the multi-billion-dollar, capital improvement modernization program underway throughout the airport, will ultimately result in a more modern airport that improves the overall customer experience.

TWO ART EXHIBITIONS CAPTURE LIFE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AT LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
(Los Angeles, California – October 2, 2014) Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) in partnership with the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs announces two new art installations at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) that reveal and re-interpret many facets of L.A.’s influential culture and urban geography through sculpture, painting, and mixed-media works. Gateway to the Sun, a collaborative installation by artists Jamison Carter and Margaret Griffith and guest curated by Elizabeta Betinski, is on view for the public in Terminal 3, Arrivals Hallway, through January 2015.

NEW AUTOMATED PASSPORT CONTROL KIOSKS AT LAX EXPEDITE ENTRY FOR ARRIVING INTERNATIONAL PASSENGERS
Forty (40) new Automated Passport Control (APC) kiosks unveiled today at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) expedite the entry process for international arriving passengers at the airport’s Tom Bradley International Terminal.
U.S. and Canadian citizens arriving from abroad, as well as travelers from the 38 Visa Waiver Countries who are also registered with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) program, are eligible to use the new machines.
